Lunch Around the World - Boston style
$2,550 raised by LATW Boston for the Elton John AIDS Foundation
By the Editor/eltonjohn.com
Congratulations to Debbie Piemonte and her team, who organized the Second Lunch Around the World in Boston earlier this month. A grand total of $2550 was raised at the event in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and all this money has gone directly to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Debbie told us:
"LATW Boston was a huge success and everyone had a great time. Everyone loved the food and enjoyed the raffles and auctions, but the biggest hit of the night was Gerald Brann as 'Elton' and his tribute band 'Yellow Brick Road'. They rocked the VFW and had the fans giving standing ovations begging for more. Gerald and the band did deliver more indeed as they enjoyed playing for the fans as much as the fans enjoyed them. A wonderful night was had by all and we'll all look back on fondly on our memories of the evening. See more photos on the LATW Boston site: http://www.bostonlatw.org/"

Thank you to everyone who attended and who helped raise this money for the EJAF, and we send special thanks to Debbie for all her hard work and perseverance.

Also, we have now received the checks from the organizers of the very special water-born Lunch Around the World event held in Manhattan on Elton's 60th birthday, March 25, 2007. A magnificent total of just under $14,000 was raised, for which we thank Jim Ward, Susan Jacobs and their team, as well as everyone who climbed aboard the Spirit Cruise on that Sunday and gave so generously during the wonderful voyage.

The total raised from Lunch Around the World events this year now stands at $19,842, and the total raised since LATW began back in 2002 has now reached $157,741!
