Elton has announced his first ever solo concert tour of Australia, starting in The Barossa Valley on Saturday 24th November. The Rocket Man Solo Tour will see Elton perform both indoors and under the stars in some of the most exquisite and breathtaking venues across the country. This, his 13th tour of Australia, will include one show only at Sydney's Acer Arena as well as winery and other outdoor locations across the country.
These solo concerts will be a magical way to experience and enjoy the brilliance of Elton's music. On stage, just Elton John and a piano, audiences will be able to experience the breadth of his composing talent, listening to hit song after hit song from 35 years at the top of the charts.
The Rocket Man Solo Tour will coincide with the Australian Premiere of the stage musical Billy Elliot. Elton inspired the creation of this musical and composed the musical score. Billy Elliot The Musical will open in Sydney on 13 December at The Capitol Theatre.
Elton's last tour of Australia opened at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre where he was greeted by a standing ovation from the almost 10,000-strong crowd, and for two and a half hours he had the fans in the palm of his hand.
