I Was There: Omaha, Nebraska
Elton and the band at Qwest Events Center, October 6, 2007
By eltonjohn.com
"My first Elton John concert was in 1972 in Denver. I've been to four other concerts of his, the last one was Saturday, October 6, 2007 in Omaha. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE puts on a concert like Elton John. He is the ULTIMATE PERFORMER. I've been to a lot of concerts over the years and NOBODY comes close. I'm already looking forward to seeing him again."

"Thank you again for the fantastic tickets to see Elton in Omaha, Nebraska. From the beginning of the night, before the lights went down, there was a special buzz and excitement in the Qwest Arena, for it had been eight years since Elton last played Omaha. This time fortunately in a new arena in front of 17,000 loud and adoring fans who all gathered for one night to witness the legend of live, Sir Elton John.

"Having had the fortune to see Elton in many other venues in the U.S., I must say that this Omaha crowd gave Madison Square Garden a run for its money on Saturday night. No song was less than perfect. And although John Mahon was unable to play in the band due to a family reason, Nigel, Davey, Guy, and Bob were as great as ever, and from what I could tell having a fantastic time too! In the end though it always comes down to the man himself, his unmatched level of stagemanship, love and passion for what he does, and absolute genuine devotion to his fans who appreciate him more than he knows."
